Description

Document legal advice, counsel, and direct support to students or student organizations involved in conduct matters, grievances, or other processes (for example, housing, financial aid, accommodations) at the University of Oregon provided by SAP Attorney and limited to on-campus matters. Does not include criminal or civil cases outside of the University.  

These records found in all media (paper, digital, or other) may include but are not limited to: 

  • intake information; 
  • copies of investigation documentation; 
  • meeting summaries; 
  • appeals written on behalf of students; 
  • related documentation. 
Retention and Disposal Instructions

10 years after resolution or close, purge. 

Exception: In the event of a subpoena, audit, legal hold, public records or similar state or federal information request, halt until further instructed any scheduled disposal activities, including purging or transferring material to University Archives.
