Description

Document proposed new courses for degree programs; any proposed new baccalaureate or graduate degree programs; new locations for existing degree programs; new certificate programs in undergraduate or graduate studies; substantive changes to existing courses or degree programs (examples: new minor courses of study, tracks or concentrations in existing majors, new honors programs, discontinuation of or name change for existing programs).

These records found in all media (paper, digital, or other) may include but are not limited to:

  • new course proposal forms/form data;
  • curriculum proposals;
  • requirements and application procedures; 
  • memoranda of interpretation or understanding, or articulation agreements (for cooperative programs with other colleges or universities);
  • related documentation and correspondence, including e-mail.

Does not include records of committees.

Retention and Disposal Instructions

(a) Curriculum proposals, requirements and application procedures, cooperative program agreements, memoranda of interpretation or understanding, and articulation agreements are permanent records; coordinate the transfer of these records to University Archives when no longer needed for current operational business by visiting https://library.uoregon.edu/scua/archives/transmittal_instructions.

(b) 10 years for other related records, purge.

Exception: In the event of a subpoena, audit, legal hold, public records or similar state or federal information request, halt until further instructed any scheduled disposal activities, including purging or transferring material to University Archives.
