Document incidents and injuries that occur on campus involving third parties (third parties include visitors, volunteers, students not working for the University of Oregon, and employees not acting within the course and scope of their employment). Does not include records related to workplace injury reporting required by Oregon OHSA or workers' compensation claims.
(a) for incidents resulting in claims, transfer to appropriate claims file and retain for that retention period;
(b) 6 years for all other records, purge.
Exception: In the event of a subpoena, audit, legal hold, public records or similar state or federal information request, halt until further instructed any scheduled disposal activities, including purging or transferring material to University Archives.
